It is the process of providing guidance and hands-on support to new mothers, their partners and other support persons on breastfeeding and lactation-related issues like engorgement, sore nipples, how to bottle feed breastfed babies, back-to-work tips, and more.

We contract with non-profit, government, and for-profit organizations to provide home-visiting, clinic-day, and program-based services. On a limited basis, DGLR also provides care for individual , private-pay families referred by a provider.

At this time, costs are covered on a contracted basis or private-pay for families referred by select providers. Sometimes after paying privately, those families may seek reimbursement via insurance, HSA, or FSA plans depending on coverage.
